Seeking Endorsement?

NC Triangle DSA backs candidates who treat elected office as an organizing tool, not a personal brand. We are looking for candidates who can build and sustain working-class power in coalition with labor, tenants, and community organizations.

Our chapter expects endorsed candidates to publicly identify as socialist or democratic socialist, maintain membership in both our chapter and National DSA, and show visible campaign affiliation with NC Triangle DSA.

We also evaluate campaign strategy and accountability: your path to victory, field and fundraising plan, policy commitments, and your willingness to work with the chapter during the race and while in office.

What we look for in aspiring endorsees

  • A clear socialist analysis and a concrete plan to mobilize working-class voters.
  • Public commitments on labor, housing justice, climate, anti-carceral policy, immigrant justice, and civil rights.
  • Alignment with chapter and national BDS and anti-zionist resolutions.
  • A commitment to shared movement work, including collaboration with other chapter-endorsed candidates and regular chapter check-ins if elected.
